SAFF championship 2009 fixture
Here is the fixture of SAFF Championship for League Stages. Nepal will start its game on Dec 5 with defending champion Maldives.
Dec 4: Sri Lanka v Pakistan 4:00pm, Bangladesh v Bhutan 6:45pm*
Dec 5: Maldives v Nepal 4:00pm, India v Afghanistan 6:45pm
Dec 6: Sri Lanka v Bhutan 4:00pm, Bangladesh v Pakistan 6:45pm
Dec 7: Maldives v Afghanistan 4:00pm, India v Nepal 6:45pm
Dec 8: Pakistan v Bhutan 4:00pm, Bangladesh v Sri Lanka 6:45pm

Two Up for Nepal In FIFA Ranking
In the latest FIFA World rankings released today Nepal have gained two places to be now ranked 173rd amongst 207 ranked nations.
Nepal collected sixty points.
India, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are above Nepal's status whereas Bhutan and Afghanistan are lying below us in ranking.
In global rankings, Brazil just about stayed ahead of Spain by three points with the Netherlands, Italy and Germany completing the top five.
The best ranked Asian nation in the global rankings is Australia at 24th.

Nepal in Lonely Planet's 'Best in Travel 2010' list
Lonely Planet, the largest travel guide-book and digital media publisher, has included Nepal in its 'Best in Travel 2010' list released Monday.
Nepal features sixth on the list of top ten countries to visit in 2010 as recommended by Lonely Planet. El Salvador, Germany, Greece, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Portugal, Suriname, and the United States are the other countries in the list.
They'll take you from the familiar to the far away, both geographically and culturally, and more than likely have you reaching for your travel bag, says Lonely Planet about the destinations mentioned.
It chose Nepal for its trekking routes.

Congrats Anil Gurung for signing with Shillong Lajong Football Club (SLFC)
Its a matter of proud for Nepali football fans that Nepal's star striker Anil Gurung is signed with Shillong Lajong Football Club (SLFC) for three years and moreover with a hefty money of Rs 63 lakhs. He will wear jersey no.20 for Lajong.
Congrats Anil for the deal and Best of luck for the future.
